I'm not here to make waves at all. Just looking for an explanation of the vote system.

I came to Kenpochecker at the recommendation of my Sifu. I got my profile confirmed as an orange belt. Several black belts of various degrees voted to approve me and my profile was set. Then I was promoted to purple and all those votes are gone.

Can someone explain why it functions this way? Why don't I keep the votes I've received?

Again - please don't interpret this as "This is stupid and needs to change!" :) Just looking for knowledge and understanding.
