OK, let`s open up the historybooks...
Who is part of the "Dirty Dozen" - the first 12 Black-Belts of Ed Parker?
According to my knowledge (as of Feb. 08.2021) the list goes:
KKAA Sho-Dans:
James Ibrao (1958)
Rich Montgomery (1959)
Ralph Castro (1960)
Rick Flores 3rd (1960)
Edwin “Ed” Tibayan (Tabian) (1961)
Alva A. “Al” Tracy (1962)
Jim Tracy (1962)
John McSweeney (1962)
Charles "Chuck" Sullivan (1962)
Dave Hebler (1963)
Sterling Peacock (1963)
Daniel "Dan" Inosanto (Not sure about the exact date, but probabyl around 1963? as well)
From the BYU Utah period there are some that say that Mills Crenshaw and Charles Beeder Sr. were the first but I have not seen any credible sources that Parker had given out Shodan / Black Belt rank at that time... but maybe someone can update my knowledge here!
Any further info and corrections are appreciated!
I will update this list according to any additional Info that this forum might provide :)

I can confirm firsthand knowledge at least from Master McSweeney the stories he would tell us of GM Parker etc. He would teach near the end of his career at our school where GM Tom Saviano was one of his first Black belts...
